Team Members

Adriane  Adriane Coming soon
Alaric I am 13 years old from Maltby, WA. I enjoy science, LEGO, snowboarding, rock climbing, and Curling.
Andrew Andrew Andrew is 15 years old, loves LEGO and almost anything to do with computers.  Other interests include Tae-Kwon-Do, Art (real and virtual), Wilderness Programs (Wilderness Awareness School) and playing computer and video games (Total Annihilation, Age of Empires, Supreme Commander, Halo 1, 2 and 3, and Descent 3).
David David David is 11 years old and LOVES soccer. He is new to the Gnomes this year, but familiar with them as he was on the sidelines during all of the meetings last year (he is a resident in the Gnome meeting zone).
Joshua Joshua is an 12 year old boy from Bellevue, WA. He enjoys skiing, creating things with LEGO, and gadgets including computers. He really enjoyed being on the team this year and has learned just enough to make mom concerned about the possibility of finding her appliances rewired or reprogrammed.
Mercury Gnome Mercury was born in 1994, and showed great interest in science and language from the time he was very small. He learned to read at 4 and wanted to read mostly science and non-fiction books, Magic School Bus being of great interest early on. His desire to learn about robotics, among other things, at 5 was what pushed his family into the decision to homeschool. However, it took the push of seeing robots in actual competition at the Pacific Science Center in 2005 before he really wanted to work on them himself. Creating with LEGO has also been a big love in his life for years, and some days his parents tire of hearing him rake through his LEGO bins! FLL has combined these loves for him, along with the opportunity to work with other kids who share his interests.
Robbie Robbie is 12 and now lives in Monroe. Robbie loves to spend his time building with LEGO, reading, playing games of any sort, video games and computer. His favorite thing to learn about is the "history of technology." Robbie is a Boy Scout and also really enjoys camping.
Sam  Sam Sam is 14 years old and has been building with LEGO as long as he can remember. His other interests include caring for animals, flying R/C airplanes, airplane and car design, riding bikes, Wilderness Awareness School, playing Flight Simulator, X-Planes, Command and Conquer, Age of Empires and other video games.
Zach Zach is 13 and has loved LEGO since before he could talk. He builds all sorts of wild contraptions, machines, and motorized vehicles using LEGO. Zach also enjoys all things science especially if there are explosions involved. He likes to read, study the newest expensive super cars, watch tv, play video games, and do anything that has to do with technology.

Coaches

Heidi Heidi is the homeschooling mother of three bright, active boys. She is eager to support them in their interests and has really had fun this year working with so many other amazing young people as we put together this team. Heidi tends to set really high, lofty goals then work really hard to see those goals become reality. If you want to get involved in helping to ignite the imaginations of young people, please consider getting involved with the FIRST family.
Dan Dan is a LEGO Certified Professional and the managing member of TrainBuilder Productions, LLC, which provides custom LEGO displays, events, and educational services. Dan has produced commissioned works for National and International clients, mounted hundreds of shows and facilitates a variety of youth programs throughout the Puget Sound area. His studio, City Blocks, is located in Freighthouse Square, Tacoma, WA.
jean Jean Jean has been working with the FIRST LEGO League Gothic Lawn Gnomes team for a year and a half, last year as a volunteer team mentor and this year as assistant coach. She is the grandmother to Gnomes Zach and David. Her hobbies include gardening (with Gnomes), genealogy and dabbling in the arts. Jean is one of the founding members of the Teaching Parents Association LEGO Club and she has enjoyed working with the kids in the club for the past three and a half years. She also enjoys working with the homeschooling community, the Gnomes, and watching the kids grow from the FLL robotic challenges over the last few years.

Mentors

DavidS  David David has been a Mindstorm fan since they first came out.  He started a LEGO robotics club in the Seattle area 7 years ago called SMART.  He has been involved with many robot competitions for both adults and kids.  He has put on, with the help of fellow SMART members, a large number of cooperative robotic displays - showing up to a dozen Mindstorm robots working together shuffling crates and balls around in an infinite loop.
Rennie  Rennie Rennie is a software engineer and homeschooling dad of two bright, active boys. He enjoyed videoing the team during competitions last season and was happy to support the team more this year by doing some introductory programming mentorship for some of the team members.
Brian Brian was a GLG team member last season.  This season he chose to be a team mentor.
