I am fourteen years old. I take Tae Kwon Do and art

about FLL is being with the team, finding different ways to do the tasks
and having fun. |

Woodinville. Other programs he has infiltrated include sailing, rowing,
and wilderness exploration groups. |
|
Joshua |
Joshua is an 11 year old boy from Bellevue, WA. He
enjoys skiing, creating things with LEGO, and gadgets including
computers. He really enjoyed being on the team this year and has learned
just enough to make mom concerned about the possibility of finding her
appliances rewired or reprogrammed. |
|
Mercury |
Gnome Mercury was born in 1994, and showed great
interest in science and language from the time he was very small. He
learned to read at 4 and wanted to read mostly science and non-fiction
books, Magic School Bus being of great interest early on. His desire to
learn about robotics, among other things, at 5 was what pushed his
family into the decision to homeschool. However, it took the push of
seeing robots in actual competition at the Pacific Science Center in
2005 before he really wanted to work on them himself. Creating with LEGO
has also been a big love in his life for years, and some days his
parents tire of hearing him rake through his LEGO bins! FLL has combined
these loves for him, along with the opportunity to work with other kids
who share his interests. |

a Boy Scout and also really enjoys camping.

Zach is 13 and has loved LEGO since before he could
talk. He builds all sorts of wild contraptions, machines, and motorized
vehicles using LEGO. Zach also enjoys all things science especially if
there are explosions involved. He likes to read, study the newest
expensive super cars, watch tv, play video games, and do anything that
has to do with technology. |
|
Heidi |
Heidi is the homeschooling mother of three bright,
active boys. She is eager to support them in their interests and has
really had fun this year working with so many other amazing young people
as we put together this team. Heidi tends to set really high, lofty
goals then work really hard to see those goals become reality. If you
want to get involved in helping to ignite the imaginations of young
people, please consider getting involved with the FIRST family. |

Don |
In preparation for coaching the Gothic Lawn Gnomes, Don studied the glow
left over from the big bang, nailed Jell-O to a wall (with and without
cryogenic assistance), worked at the South Pole, received a PhD in
Physics, cracked a computer security system, and lost a pie eating
contest. He is currently building tools for filmmakers. Neither of his
dogs has ever solved the Rubik's cube in under two minutes.
